The base on which the chair will stand on, should be at least as long as the shade of the highest back point of the chair, projected vertically.

La base surlaquelle la chaise va reposer, aurra pour longueur, au minimum, la distance du plus haut point du dossier de celle-ci, projete verticalement (du haut, au sol).

The hole (3/4" diameter) in the base board, will allow the assembly of the swivel base later.

Le trou dans la planche (diametre 19-20 mm), permettra d'assembler la base tournante, plus tard.

The bottom base has a cicular shape (a square with a circle inside of it). This little tool made of pvc pipe a drill bit and a pencil, allow to draw the circle we will need.

La base inferieur a une forme circulaire (un carre avec un cercle a l'interieur). Ce compas fait d'un bot de tuyau de pvc, d'une meche de perceuse et d'un crayon, permet de tracer les cercles necessaire.

The bottom base is made of two 1/2" thick constructionn type plywood.

The two parts are glued together, then a bunch of screws will stiffen the whole assembly.

A small drill bit is put in the center, to allow both part to be adjusted easily.

C-clamp are used to keep the assembly together.

A few screws will help to keep the assembly strong. One more circle of a diameter bigger than the swivel base, is used to put a few more screws.
