Pictures from spacecraft.
Picture from Martian soil are popular and relatively easy to take.
The rover move from one location to the next, or some craft have two cameras.
They are usualy nobody moving in front of the camera, they are often a lot of rocks, which render great in 3 dimensional viewing, they are often everywhere so the deepness can be increased greatly.

Image taken from the spacecraft Cassini on 2004 June 11, at a range of about 13'500 km (about 8'400 miles).
This image show the soil on Saturn's icy moon Phoebe.
From left to right it is about 50 km (about 31 miles).

About the Author

I am simply a Linux enthusiast with an interest in science.

I like to build hardware projects and connect them to computers, to do data acquisitions and other things. I also like to make telescopes or make existing telescopes more convenient to use.

This page will hopefully help me to learn something. I am happy if I can share it with the reader.

I belong to the following astronomy societies: RAS. ASOD and linuxastronomy.org, which is a virtual group of linux enthusiast, experimenting with astronomy.

Suggestions or corrections with for goal to make this site better are welcome.
