Here is the incredible installation. It is so big, we were so close, we simply did not had the correct equipment to take it in one picture. The poor quality of the picture give us an excuse to go back. ;-) |

Voici la merveille installation optique de Kitt Peak. Il est si grand, Nous etions si proche, nous n'avions pas le bon materiel pour le prendre en une image. La qualite mediocre de l'image nous donne une bonne excuse pour retourne a Kitt Peak. ;-) |

We have been pretty lucky. They resurfaced the mirror the week prior to our visit, they have just completed the procedure to put the mirror back. At the time we saw it, they started testing the motion in all the axis, from limit to limit. Nous avons eu de la chance. Le mirroir a ete resurface la semaine precedant notre visite, La procedure d'installation du mirroir venait d'etre terminee, les tests de mouvement des axes de liberte commencaient. Nous avons eu l'occasion de voir le telescope ce deplacer d'une butee a l'autre dans chaque axe. |
